Many of the descendants of Dr. Martinez live today in Guayaquil Ecuador.  Several of them came to a gathering at the home of Miguelito Martinez Davalos in late May 2013 with their families. In the video below (24min.) we asked them to tell us a little about themselves in the hope of giving their relatives in North America a very brief glimpse into their lives.  The relatives in this video are descended from three children of Dr. Martinez:

• Julio Martinez Serrano was Dr. Martinez’ first child.  He was born in the 1870s.  He married Luisa Roca Bolona. Julio’s descendants appear in the second segment of the video.
• Rafael Martinez Serrano was Dr Martinez’ eighth child.   He married Ernestina De Aguirre Calderon. Rafael’s Descendants appear in the third segment of the video.
• Maria Martinez Serrano was Dr Martinez’ ninth and last child through Rafaela Serrano Ruiz.  Rafaela died giving birth to Maria.   When she grew up she married Eustorgio Calderon Mora. Maria’s descendants appear in the first segment of the video.
